Description
Purple with Yellow Spiny Oyster Ring Sz 10 ~ A Jake
This Stunning Big Hefty ring was made by Navajo Artist Albert Jake, bio below. It's a size 10. It features a smooth polished deep purple spiny oyster with yellow. It's a deeper and darker color than in looks in the pictures. The shell sets in a smooth silver bezel and is surrounded by twisted silver roping. The wide sturdy shank has stamp work and tapers down down to 1/4" in the back.
Weight: 17.5 grams on my scale.
It's marked sterling and signed A Jake inside the band. It measures just over 1 1/4" tall by just over 3/4" wide. I placed a quarter there for scale.
Spiny Oyster Shell, Spondylus Brodnip Princess, is found in the Sea of Cortez, Baja California, Mexico.
