BIG Turquoise Ring sz 10
This Really Big, Beautiful ring was made by Navajo Artist Cecil Antencio. It's a size 10.
The stone is not flat , it's been carved a bit to give it some real interest. I tried to show that in a side picture. The turquoise stone is a kind of a darker sky blue with light blue and a bit of gray matrix. I took a lot of pictures of this piece below. Please forgive my very old hand but I wanted you to get an idea of how great it looks when worn. The stone sets in a smooth bezel and is surrounded by twisted silver wire in the classic rope design. There's stamp work as well as deep notched silver detailing around the border.
It's marked sterling and signed C Antencio. Weight 25.8 grams on my scale It measures almost 1 3/4" tall by 1 1/2" at it's widest point. I placed a quarter there for scale.

Cecil's sister Esther and her husband Alfred Largo taught him the art of Silversmithing and told Cecil that no mater what happened in his life he could always fall back on Silversmithing.
Cecil has been a Silversmith for almost 30 years and is known for his large pieces like this Concho belt.
