Blue Moon Turquoise Ring sz 12

This great ring was made by Navajo Artist John Nelson. It's a size 12, suitable for a man or woman. The domed Blue Moon turquoise stone is a sky blue with a light to darker black matrix that I think looks like fractured lightning. Very cool. The stone sets in a smooth bezel and is surrounded by twisted silver roping. It has concho like buttons as well as a bit of stamp work around the border.

The Blue Moon turquoise mine was active until the late 1970's in Esmeralda Count, Nevada. Most of the Blue Moon turquoise now comes from private collections. Typically it's a light sky blue with a brown to black matrix.

It measures just over 1” tall by 7/8" at it's widest point.
Weight: 15.7 grams on my scale
It's marked sterling and signed.
I placed a quarter there for scale.
