This colorful necklace is 20" long and was created by Santo Domingo (Kewa) Darlene Calabaza
It features fine heishi beads of blue turquoise, black jet, white clam shell and various other stones
and shell. It's finished at the ends with sterling silver cones.
Weight: about 36 grams on my scale
The heishi pieces are uniform and are about 1/8".
I placed a quarter there for scale.
The literal meaning of heishi is shell and specifically refers to pieces of shell which have been drilled and ground into beads and then strung into necklaces.
Sure to make a Fine addition to any collection, or a great gift! Please note: Pictures are enlarged to show detail, remember everything looks bigger on line :)
