These beautiful Peyote Bird pendant was made by Navajo artist Jolene Yazzie.
It has blue turquoise chip inlay as well as red coral inlay with a bit of stamp work on the silver. It comes with
a nice 18" sterling silver chain.
Chip inlay is also called tweezer inlay because the technique of creating a mosaic of small pieces of
Turquoise and Coral is done by laying them (one by one with tweezers) into place.
Navajo Tommy Singer is credited for first using chip inlay in Native American jewelry
It's marked sterling and hallmarked with a cactus
Overall it's 1 5/8" tall by 1" at it's widest point.
Pendant weight: 4.8 grams on my scale.
I placed a quarter there for scale
