This stunning link bracelet was created by Navajo Artist Lyle Piaso
It features polished orange spiny oyster shell.
It dangles beautifully on the wrist.
This type of bracelet is fairly easy to add more circles to make it longer.
I've had extra circles added to one of my bracelets at a kiosk jeweler in the mall,
although this one would be a good length for me.
Spiny Oyster Shell, Spondylus Brodnip Princess, is found in the Sea of Cortez, Baja California, Mexico.
It's marked sterling and signed
It's 8" long and can be adjusted smaller
The uniform stones are 3/8" tall by 1/2" wide.
Weight: 24.5 grams on my scale
I placed a quarter there for scale.
Lyle Piaso is a third generation Navajo silversmith, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended Chinle High School in Chinle, Arizona. Upon returning to New Mexico, Lyle began to silversmith along side his father Joe Piaso Jr., who has continued to inspire him over the years.
