These beautiful earrings were made by Navajo artist Jolene Yazzie.
They have a traditional design with blue turquoise chip inlay, red coral inlay
and a bit of stamp work on the silver.
Chip inlay is also called tweezer inlay because the technique of creating a
mosaic of small pieces of Turquoise and Coral is done by laying
them (one by one with tweezers) into place.
Navajo Tommy Singer is credited for first using chip inlay in Native American jewelry
They are marked sterling and hallmarked with a cactus
They are 1 1/2" tall by 5/8" wide
Total weight: 6.8 grams on my scale
