This is a gorgeous hefty old style bracelet created by Navajo artist Herman Smith.
the center turquoise stone is a wonderful blue with gold and is surrounded by twisted silver wire.
It has repousse work, which is a decorative technique of raising a pattern on the silver.
The silver has a brushed satin finish to it.

It's marked sterling and signed
It's just over 5/8" tall in the front
The stone is 9/16" tall by just over 3/8" wide.
It can be carefully adjusted to fit
It has an inside of about 6" plus a gap 1"

Herman Smith comes from a long line of silversmiths. He learned the art of making jewelry from his mother Mary C. Yazzie. He is the cousin of Terry and Calvin Martinez. His style is traditional, heavily stamped jewelry and precise repousse He always uses heavy gauge sterling silver that is carefully oxidized to create an older look.
