This Naja pendant was created by Navajo artist Lyle Piaso. The White Buffalo stone
is very white with black. The stone sets in a smooth bezel in the top
center of the Naja design.

The "naja" and the squash blossom bead was introduced to the Navajo by the
Spanish and later adopted by the Zuni. The crescent shaped Naja is similar
to the pendants that hung from the headstalls of the Spanish silver bridles
in the late 1500s and early 1600s.
It come with a really nice 18" sterling silver chain.

It's marked sterling and signed LP
Overall it's 1 7/8" tall by 1 5/8" wide.
Pendant weight: 10.8 grams on my scale.
I placed a quarter there for scale.

White Buffalo Stone, also known as Sacred Buffalo Stone, is white with black and brown inclusions.
It's sometimes called "white turquoise" but it is not turquoise and from what I gather it's comes
from only one mine in Nevada, which is owned by the Otteson family.
It's a great looking stone and this goes with everything, what's not like about black and white?

Sure to make a Fine addition to any collection, or a great gift!
