This size 10 1/2 ring was created by Navajo Artist Joe Piaso Jr.
The fabulous Candelaria turquoise stone is a bright lighter blue with a brown/dark gold matrix.
It has a bit of stamp work on the silver surrounding the stone.
Lyle is a third generation Navajo silversmith, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended Chinle High School in Chinle, Arizona. He went on to attend the Community College in Tsaile, Arizona. After earning his degree in accounting, Lyle moved back to Albuquerque. Upon returning to New Mexico, Lyle began to silversmith along side his father Joe Piaso Jr., who has continued to inspire him over the years.
It's marked sterling and signed
It's 1" tall by 7/8" at it's widest point.
The stone is just over 5/8" tall by just over 1/2" wide

I placed a quarter there for scale.
The Candelaria mine is a small Nevada mine. It produces very little stone and is only occasionally worked. The turquoise is a good quality stone of high blue color with an intermittent black or brown, non-webbed matrix. It is a hard, attractive stone. Because it is not frequently available it is considered collectible.
