This design incorporates Ancient Mammoth stone.
The mammoth roamed the earth for 1.8 million years, until it's extinction
about 10,000 years ago. Unearthed in Northern Alaska, Canada
and Siberia, it's unique colors are derived from the minerals found in the soil.
That's so cool.
This size 7 to 7 1/4 ring was created by Navajo Artist Murphy Platero. This Mammoth tooth stone
has bright colors of deep red to light red and almost pale pale yellow. It has Murphy's signature curvy open wire shank.
It's marked sterling and signed.
It's just 1/2" tall by 3/8" wide
Weight: 5 grams on my scale.
I placed a quarter there for scale
