This necklace is 18" long and was made by Santo Domingo (Kewa) Artist Delbert Crespin.
It looks fresh with large heishi of blue turquoise and off white clam shell.
Perfect for layering.
Weight: about 19 grams on my scale
The heishi beads are uniform and are about 1/8".
I placed a quarter there for scale.
The literal meaning of heishi is shell and specifically refers to pieces of shell which have been drilled and ground into beads and then strung into necklaces. more information on this fascinating subject can be found on the internet
