This vintage pawn, probably Native American made, ring is a size 6.
It has blue turquoise and red coral chip inlay.
Chip inlay is also called tweezer inlay because the technique of creating
of small pieces of Turquoise and Coral is done by laying them (one by one with tweezers)
Navajo Tommy Singer is credited for first using chip inlay in Native American jewelry
It's 3/4" tall and wide.
Weight: 4.9 grams on my scale.
I placed a quarter there for scale.
I just acquired a bunch of classic vintage and pawn Southwest rings. This certainly takes me back and what fun! They are from the 1970’s -1980’s. They will all be in this one vintage category and not mixed in with my other items. These pieces have not been cleaned and will not be perfect. There's a certain amount of wear on older pieces which is to be expected, what you see is what you get! Most pieces are unmarked as to artist and silver content which was very common back in the day. I always wonder what stories they'd have to tell in their travels through time. :)
Sure to make a Fine addition to any collection, or a great gift! Please note: Pictures are enlarged to show detail, remember everything looks bigger on line :)
