Golden Hill Turquoise A rare color for turquoise, Golden Hill Turquoise comes from a deposit in the Altyn Tyube mine in Kazakhstan. These stunning gems have a light blue to periwinkle hue to them, and a reddish, burnt umber matrix. The Kazakhstan turquoise exceeds many others in terms of uniqueness and rarity. This hard, high-grade material produces gorgeous natural cabochons. Like Turquoises from Egypt, Tibet or Persia, wherever you find Copper or Iron, there is the possibility of finding Turquoise.
